You'll Eat Your Eye Out!

HOUSTON – A Texas death row inmate with a history of mental problems pulled out his only good eye and told authorities he ate it. Andre Thomas, 25, was arrested for the fatal stabbings of his estranged wife, their young son and her 13-month-old daughter in March 2004. Their hearts also had been ripped out. While in the Grayson County Jail in Sherman, Thomas plucked out his right eye before his trial later in 2004. A judge subsequently ruled he was still competent to stand trial.
A death-row officer at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice found Thomas in his cell with blood on his face and took him to the infirmary. "Thomas said he pulled out his eye and subsequently ingested it," said agency spokesman Jason Clark.
The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in October upheld his conviction and death sentence for the death of 13-month-old Leyha Marie Hughes. Also killed March 27, 2004, were his wife, Laura Christine Boren, 20, and their son, 4-year-old Andre Lee.
Thomas, from Texoma, walked into the Sherman Police Department and told a dispatcher he had just murdered the three and had stabbed himself in the chest.
Thomas told police how he put his victims' hearts in his pocket and left their apartment, took them home, put them in a plastic bag and threw them in the trash.
Court documents described the three victims as having "large, gaping wounds to their chests."

Diamond Dave

Ok so I bet you know the lyrics to Runnin' with the Devil, right?
If not here they are...

VAN HALEN
Runnin' with the Devil.

I live my life like theres no tomorrow
And all Ive got I had to steal
Least I dont need to beg or borrow
Yes Im living at a pace that kills

Runnin with the devil
Runnin with the devil

I found the simple life aint so simple
When I jumped out on that road
I got no love, no love youd call real
Aint got nobody waiting at home

Runnin with the devil
Runnin with the devil

You know i, I found the simple life, werent so simple, no
When I jumped out on that road
Got no love, no love youd call real
Got nobody waiting at home

Runnin with the devil
Runnin with the devil
Runnin with the devil
Runnin with the devil
[repeat and fade]

...but nowhere in the Lyrics are the extra screams and blurbs on the original studio tapes.
Until now, this is a soundboard of isolated Yeah Yeaaaah's and Oha Godddd's supposedly from Dave's original R.W.T.D. vocal tracks.

Beautiful Rump

The Coco de Mer is a palm endemic to the islands of Praslin and Curieuse in the Indian Ocean.
It grows to 25-34 m tall, the leaves are fan-shaped, 7-10 m long and 4.5 m wide. It is dioecious, with separate male and female plants. The male flowers are catkin-like, up to 1 m long. The mature fruit is 40-50 cm in diameter and weighs 15-30 kg, and contains the largest seed in the plant kingdom. The fruit, which requires 6-7 years to mature and a further two years to germinate, is sometimes also referred to as the Sea Coconut, double coconut, coco fesse, or Seychelles Nut.

In centuries past the coconuts that fell from the trees and ended up in the sea would be carried away westwards by the prevailing sea currents. The nuts can only float after the germination process, when they are hollow.
Legend has it that sailors who first saw the nut floating in the sea imagined that it resembled a woman's disembodied rear-end. This association is reflected in one of the plant's botanical names, Lodoicea Callipyge meaning 'beautiful rump'.

Until the true source of nut was discovered in 1768, it was believed by many to grow on a mythical tree at the bottom of the sea; European nobles in the sixteenth century would often have the shells of these nuts cleaned and decorated with valuable jewels as collectibles for their private galleries.
